OPT

A whole room full of Other People's Toys! Lauren and Trevor had a great time playing in the third floor romper room at Anna and Noah's new house. Trevor was totally fascinated by the baby.... Ewan is one smiley little dude, and Nina handled the invasion pretty well... it's hard to share sometimes, you know?

Franklin County Fair

Franklin County Fair fun... the ride operators let Trevor on one of those car / motorcycle rides... where he got to drive. And boy did he drive. At one point his tongue was hanging out. Pauline joined us, and rode the ferris wheel with Lauren. It was Lauren's first ferris wheel ride, followed shortly thereafter by her second. Saw an elephant show, then ate an elephant ear--only at the fair, right?

Happy Birthday Matt and Dan!

First off-HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATT AND DAN!
And in other news... This week Lauren is attending a nature camp program at Highbanks. No pictures of that yet, but here she is from a program on Butterflies at Sharon Woods the other night. The kids were far more entertained by running about a big open field whirling their butterfly nets than in actually looking for butterflies. Good fun though.

Human/Alien Interaction

Lauren and Trevor and I went to the movie theater because they have free kids movies on Tuesday mornings. We lasted about 20 minutes before the kids got restless. We ended up in the hallway, and the result is this cellphone video showing a human meeting some aliens for the first time, and vice-versa.

Keep Out

The first of what will probably be many such signs posted on Lauren's door. This one was directed specifically at boys under the age of 2 whose names start with "T".

Dude LOVES trains

My sister gave us this train set a few years ago, and Lauren never really got into it. But, it resurfaced a few days ago and is an instant hit with Trevor. Last night we had to put the train set away, it was set up on his bedroom floor in a big figure 8, and he couldn't get to sleep... kept standing up and pointing to the set, saying 'train, train'. 'Train' was also the first word out of his mouth when I went into his room this morning.
