Wet Cats

Hooray! Cosmos and Playstation love bathtime!

Just kidding. Washing cats is no easy feat, but Beth has discovered a great tip: If you do it in the sink with the little sprayer attachment, the cats don't think you're trying to drown them in a bathtub. So there's that.

Zoo (Trevor's 1st time)

As Beth mentioned, we did go to the zoo. Watch this little video to see how it went.

Tooth!

As predicted yesterday... there is a tooth. It's on the bottom, middle, his left. Based on his level of stuffiness and drool, we'd been expecting this. To celebrate the milestone, Patrick and Lauren are taking Trevor to the zoo today. It's beautiful, I wish I could be there too... alas. I'm sure there will be zoo pictures later today!

Let's play ball!

Papa, Lauren and Patrick went to the 'Coop today for a noon game. Our hometown heros were not victorious, but much fun was had by all...

ADD from patrick: The scariest part of the day was in the seventh inning. We were sitting there talking to one another and not paying attention to the game. I look up and a line-drive foul ball is screaming right at these old guys in the row below us. I thought they would get knocked out, at least. They don't react at all until the ball goes by right at head level through THE EMPTY SEAT BETWEEN THEM. How awesome is that? Those dudes would've been in the hospital. The ball banged harmlessly off the seat just to the left of us. Talk about an OMG moment!

Trevor is 5 months old today! He can roll both ways, is an eating machine, loves to laugh and smile at the antics of Lauren and really enjoys trying to stand while someone holds his hands. He is a mad bouncer in his bouncy-swing and likes to try and put everything he's holding into his mouth. We suspect teeth are on their way, but nothing has cut through yet.

Manbaby

I found my new favorite website the other day, and knew I had to try it. Manbabies.com is HILARIOUS.

Swimming!

Daddy and Sissy took me into a pool for the first time today. It was cold! But after the first minute or two, it was fun! It was like the world's biggest bathtub! But without the soap. Or washcloths. Or naked bottoms. Fun Fun Fun!

That's still "early-thirties", right?

It's Daddy's Birthday

Mommy made daddy little cinnamon rolls for a morning birthday cake. It was very yummy. It has a 1 on it because my daddy's #1. I took the picture with my new camera! We gave presents to daddy in bed. Isn't that funny?

circus circus EDIT: ADD VIDEO

Patrick, Lauren and I went to the circus on Saturday. If you ask Lauren what her favorite part was... she'll tell you it was Bello. He's the clown who's picture she's standing next too... she had too much fun.
Here are some of the horses that Patrick and Lauren saw parading through the streets... I hadn't been to a circus in years, and I must say I enjoyed myself more than I expected!

Circus highlights that we were fortunate enough to capture on camera

Fast Food Window

Lauren has a friend that lives across the street named Amanda. They play pretty well together. Last night they played in our backyard.

Daddy's Kids

Daddy and Trevor

Daddy and... Batboy?
edit: just found THIS about 3 hours after original post. What's next? Mummy Girl?

I just gave Lauren our old digital camera (psst, honey, if you're reading this, I gave Lauren our old camera). She had this little Hello Kitty camera that everyone online hates (and so do I). Guess we'll add that to the "Garage Sale" pile now.

So, we had fun making funny faces and taking pictures this morning. Then daddy had fun with some photoshop tools to give the Trevor picture a little more *pop*. Mad skills. LOL

Circus in the Street

The Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey Circus arrived in town yesterday, and with it came the circus animals! The closest train depot to the Arena is about three miles away, so they walked the elephants and horses down the street. In Lauren's words, "I think they're awesome!"

We had a good time. Some of us even climbed little trees while we waited for the impromptu parade to pass.

Family Resemblence

My computer turns on a slide-show mode if it's idle for a spell... and when I saw this picture today I couldn't help but think the resemblence is pretty uncanny... I see Lauren sometimes when I look at Trevor... but in this shot of Lauren (taken 11-05), I can see hints of Trevor. Ok, he's not quite as fair and has an extra chin...

Mothers Day 2008

L to R: Beth, Debbie, Kathryn, Gini, Adela

This is the official Mothers Day Group Mothers Picture. Everyone came to our house for a lil' potluck and presents. We also made handprint pictures for all the moms. Good times were had.

Trevor's fun chair

T-man spends a little time in this boucy swing every day, and he loves it.

morning smiles

I wish everyone had the chance to wake up with two smiling, wonderful kiddos... certainly makes my day.... now if only Trevor wasn't so transfixed by the camera phone--then maybe his smiles would stick around when I try to capture them. Lately, he gets a very studious look on his face whenever I take a picture... I love watching him trying to figure things out.

Slacking...

Yes, I know we're slacking on the photo up-loading. Sorry... let's see--Patrick's band went on a road trip to PA--he came home with a new bass. It's lovely.
Lauren had adventures with grandparents, including a Saturday trip to Nelsonville to see cousin Pauline's dance recital, and a Sunday viewing of 'Horton Hears a Who'. Trevor and I took naps in her absence... We were all very happy to see Patrick return.

Trevor visited Children's Hospital again yesterday, for an ultrasound on his hips. Our pediatrician had thought there might be something weird, as the little creases on the backs of his chunky thighs didn't line up quite right... but we had a call this morning from the office indicating that everything was normal. So, guess he just wasn't wanting to stretch out that day. He did a great job during the exam... no fussing, no fighting the tech. He's a cool cat.

He also tried rice cereal on Sunday, and has had a little the last few nights at dinner... he grabs my hands and pulls the spoon into his mouth. I think that's a good sign... though there is little doubt he likes to eat.
