"House on Fire", the performance piece. Video Post

There is a new children's museum in Lancaster OH called A-HA. It's more of an indoor playground with art supplies and water features and blocks and stuff. But the big hit was (SURPRISE!) the dress-up clothes and adjacent stage area. There were a good million and a half plays performed there in the 3 hours we were there, some involving actual "tickets" and "backstage passes". Too funny. This one is my favorite because it involves classic elements: a tragic situation with potential dire outcome, a damsel in distress, a hero in uniform, great lighting, and deep, full-cast bows. See for yourself.

Here is the transcript in case you missed it.

Curtain is drawn to reveal a lady sleeping as imaginary flames surround her.

Pauline: *turns lights up*

Jade (stirring from slumber): "Oh no, I woke up and now my house is on fire! Help!"

Lauren: *runs around dousing flames with smallest imaginary firehose ever, before finally pulling Jade to safety*

The End.

Tony nominations ensue.
